Sweet chilli garlic sauce recipe

Sweet chilli garlic sauce is a sweet,tangy and spicy recipe. It goes really well with cutlets, spring rolls, nachos, stir fried noodles or even with some non-vegetarian appetizersĀ like chicken, prawns. This is a very quick recipe and easy to prepare.

  1. Remove the seeds from dried red chillies and it in water for half an hour and then chop the red chillies into small pieces.
  2. Now in a pan pour water and vinegar. Bring it to a boil.
  3. Add garlic, ginger, red chillies, tomato ketchup, sugar and salt. Stir for 5 minutes or till the sugar dissolves.
  4. Add cornstarch mixed in water to the sauce and bring it to a boil. Check the taste to adjust salt and sugar. Note- Add less salt as this sauce is more on a sweeter side.
  5. Remove saucepan from stove to cool. Then transfer to a bowl, cover, and refrigerate until needed.
