Aam Panna Recipe

Aam panna is a refreshing summer drink. It is made from raw mangoes. This drink is tangy and packed with vitamins. It is a great remedy for heat stroke and dehydration. In Indian culture, it is regarded as a tonic believed to increase resistance against tuberculosis,anemia,cholera and dysentery.

  1. In a pressure cooker, boil the mangoes for 2-3 whistles.
  2. Let the mangoes cool down and then peel the mangoes and extract the pulp from them.
  3. In a blender, add mint leaves, roasted cumin powder, black pepper, rock salt and normal salt. Blend them into a paste. Add water if required.
  4. Now strain both the mango pulp and the mint paste with the help of strainer. Add water to strain the mixture nicely.
  5. Add more water if required and then add sugar. Let the sugar melt properly and then store aam panna in the refrigerator.
  6. Serve chilled with ice cubes.
